I am currently working at TELUS, a telecommunications company. My roles change often as I am currently on rotation. I have spent 1 year in the field of interaction design and have now moved on to marketing. I graduated from UBC as a Computer Science major (Commerce minor). A question I often do not have an answer to is when people ask why I'm in Computer Science. I'm personally interested in the asthetics of art and so things like graphics or UI design and implementation most interest me in the field. More front end than back end for me. Except I also have a strange passion for databases.
It has been 10 years (or more) since I got hooked onto manga/ anime. Drawing has been a side hobby and recently I have been working on a portfolio to take to a local convention to sell.
What do I want to do in 5 years or so? One of two things could happen. I continue to work climbing up the ranks in an area that I'm interested in. Or, I'm back in school pursuing another degree. Mind you, I am most likely doing something visual arts related if I'm going back to school.
